The role of a cabin crew is to provide assistance and service to passengers, including check-in, baggage handling and distribution. The cabin crew can also play an important role in assisting passengers with disabilities. The training required for this position varies depending on whether you want to be employed by an airline or charter company; however, all require similar qualifications such as an HSC diploma (or equivalent) plus relevant experience. Once you have completed your training program and obtained your licence, there are many opportunities available within the industry. You could start as an air hostess or flight attendant working on commercial flights before progressing onto more challenging roles with more responsibility such as being promoted into management positions where you would be responsible for supervising other staff members working in different departments within the organization
